Height: 6'2"

Tattoos/piercings: One deep bullet scar in right shoulder, another just under by an inch but smaller. One five inch white scar slashed diagonally from his left shoulder down to spine. A long two inch superficial bullet scar diagonally across his 9th left rib. One deep bullet scar in middle of left thigh, shot from the back. One six inch white scar curving from his knee to his ankle.
Appearance: Sienna-brown hair roughly styled, a tall lanky profile that stoops slightly from bending over to listen when people talk to him, a light dusting of stubble and a wardrobe of dark earthy tones meant to fade into the background, with fabrics chosen for their comfort, make Saul the perfect street wallflower.
Behind a veil of a mildly frustrated and weary frown and long lashes, burns a pair of deep-set dark eyes of sea grey blue, with a wary intensity that pierces. This is his usual expression of choice, other than the poker face. A straight nose, bent from being broken once and slightly chapped lips complete the rest of his face.
And under all those grungy clothes, more lean than brawny, is a wiry hard body. He holds himself with a nonchalant grace, a sleek whisper of power that hints at more flexibility and speed rather than strength. The mood about him is usually casual (or serious, it depends on the situation) once one has gotten used to his gruffness.

Personality: “Workaholic”, that was what his last girlfriend called him before she walked out of his bedroom 3 years ago. A man married to his career, Saul keeps his personal life as neat and less hassled as his house. His dishes are washed; his CD-rack is categorized. The only room in his house that is messy is his bedroom. He doesn’t follow the conventions of having a schedule, but he makes sure everything on his checklist is done. A loner by nature, he avoids developing strong relationships and has only those few that he can truly call friends.
Saul is also old-schooled in manners, chivalry and honor, not chauvinistic, mind. He respects a woman’s space and her right to authority well enough, but he will still open the door and pull out the chair for her. He says yes, instead of yea. His chivalry is particularly demonstrated in his work, always thinking of the best way to protect as many as possible, rather than the quickest route to promotion. Honor is a principle he holds by his heart, despising broken promises and always meaning his word when he gives it. But like any other borne under the zodiac of Cancer, even if he doesn’t seem like it, he’s temperamental and a passionate romantic at heart.

Brief History: Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, a love child of a passionate couple from a romance story – an immigrant good-at-winning-at-gambling father and a prostitute who retired after finding true love – Saul grew up in a stable and happy family. He had slightly higher than average SAT scores and was 18 and pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology to be a law consultant when his father was first found dead. And when the police closed the case without ever cracking it, Saul decided to change his career path and signed up at the police academy while still going for his psychology degree. Just before he graduated with that degree, he solved his father’s case – Gary was mistaken as someone who owed a dealer his long over due drug money and was murdered for it. Solving the case lead to him working in the narcotics bureau just after earning his college degree where he ended up in a major shootout involving a significant narcotics deal. Saul survived, with a score of scars to prove it. It was during this period when he was recommended to and recruited by the FBI, whereby he was trained further and worked overtime. His obsession and diligence with his work promoted him up the ranks quickly as he handled more and more cases involving underground triads and organizations.
At 24, he fell in love with a colleague and married within a year. At 26, his mother passed away due to heat stroke and his wife divorced him due to negligence; his marriage childless. At 28, after finally closing a major 4 year case, he was re-assigned to a new classified case, where he was promoted to being the Special-Agent-in-Charge (SAC). This case involves confirming suspicions of a superior…organization. Here, he moved from his home town of Las Vegas to Washington, D.C.

Strengths: Piecing things together, well that’s his job. Putting his life on the line above others, maybe that’s not such a good thing. He’s good at cooking and as good a sharp shooter as any. He’s agile and knows how to use that to his advantage. He works things around flexibly.

Weaknesses: Bit too hotheaded and emotional, even with a poker face, his eyes easily give him away. Soft-hearted, he can’t leave an abandoned kitty. Sometimes he’s a stubborn mule.

Quirks: Caffeine and sugar addiction, full stop. He’d literally have withdrawal symptoms without a latte at his side. Oh, and he can’t leave dishes unwashed in the basin.
