Appearance: His intense, piercing eyes and chiselled features give him a handsome face, but save work and the odd night out, his appearance tends to be dishevelled.

Personality: His nonchalant manner and callous indifference gives him the reputation of being aloof and cold. However he highly values friendship and although not the best person to have a heart-to-heart with, he will do anything for a friend in need.

Brief History: Jett's hometown was notorious for it's mistreatment of the shape shifter minority. Always against the racial discrimination Jett took a stand in his freshman year at high school and became a youth activist for a shape-shifter driven community organization campaigning for equal rights for shifters. However what started as transformational activism soon became a racial riot out of frustration and dissent. The activists would create civil disorder with sudden and intense violence and vandalism against the vampires.
Although Jett was appalled by the behaviour of his organization, he was more disgusted when the vampires lashed back in a premeditated pogrom. The massacre of shape-shifters was extensive and bloody, characterized by the destruction of their homes and businesses. His father was humiliated and lost all prestige in their lamia society, however their heritage granted Jett immunity to the violence, but he saw this as just further racism.
Unable to tolerate the hatred and discrimination of his kind Jett left his father's home at 17 and went to live with his mother. His parents were divorced and Jett's custody terms required him spending holidays and weekends with his mother who lived with her second husband, also a lamia, in America. June had another son, Jasper, from her second marriage, who was two years younger than Jett. The brothers got along fine but their different interests meant that Jett had spent most of the time on his visits with their neighbour's son, John, a human with an upbeat and charismatic nature. Although Jett didn't go to the same high school as John when he started to live with his mother, they still socialized together.
After graduating from high school Jett moved out to travel the country, his experience living rough gave him a harsh and pessimistic insight into society. He found an escapism in painting, and in drugs and went on to live in Italy to study for a degree in fine arts. He has had a few girlfriends, but his emotional detachment has prevented any serious relationship.

Other: Jett's history of activism and lack of social involvement with NWers has him rumoured as a Night World deviant. He tries to avoid this label and save his family from grief by working for a vampire called Mama Cass in her NWer run restaurant.
