Rules
 
Rule #1: No Powerplaying
It is very easy to follow, the only character you can control is your own. This means you cannot control anything about another character unless you have specific permission.
 
Rule #2: No Flaming
This means do not use any foul language towards anyone else on or offlist, if you have a problem with anyone go to one of the moderators and we will be able to straighten it out. Remember we are here to have fun and the mods try our best to ensure everyone is having fun.
 
Rule #3: Try to stay withing the realm of the Nightworld
Try to keep stories somewhat plausible to the Nightworld series of books. Also keep in mind the powers and abilities of characters. Below you will find a list from most powerful to least powerful characters.
1) Wildpowers (Currently no Wildpowers in the Game)
2) Demons (Currently no Demons in the Game)
3) Dragons
4) Pheonixi
5) Vampires
6) Shifters and Werewolves
7) Witches
8) Humans
 
Please note that Halfbreeds are much less powerful versions of their two base species, thus a Vampire/Shifter would be weak by Vampire and Shifter standards but still powerful by human standards.
 
Rule #4: Lurking
The best RPGs are the ones that have an active group of players. Night World Shadows strives to maintain a lively game where everyone has a chance to play and have some fun. This, however, means a few words need to be said about lurking. The moderator is extremely nice, and willing to work with players in the case of emergency or just plain help them get into the game. She does her best to accomodate any personal difficulties of players, but be aware that her understanding only goes so far. Failure to post for several weeks or months at a time, or failure to create a character period, will result in players being kicked out of the game. It's an unfortunate thing, but necessary to keep the plot moving. Just stay active and keep posting, and everyone will be happy, ok?
